DONATIONS
After viewing the enthusiasm for artistic and theatrical learning amongst the students in Yauco, Puerto Rico, we are hoping to further engage their artistic enthusiasm and introduce them to additional performance techniques and artists. Ideally as part of a multi-stage process, we are organizing a week of free theatre workshops for high school students in Yauco.
In these workshops we will explore several different performance styles and bring in guest artists from across the island to help connect students with professional working artists. The major cost of this program will go towards paying artists to come to Yauco (a somewhat remote city on the island) to teach their craft to these young people.
Our goals are:
To give students experiences in a variety of theatrical techniques
To provide the opportunity for students to create work
To expose students to the artistic possibilities that exist for them in Puerto Rico and beyond
